Week 4 previews/predictions

We have quite the slate ahead, after taking a week off to enjoy my birthday and 3 different steakhouse visits and my own gameday experience in South Bend, I am excited to talk Week 4 ball. Let’s jump right in!

Florida State vs. Clemson, Saturday @ 12:00 EST on ABC

FSU looked human last week with a narrow win over Boston College, Clemson coming off 2 wins after a 21-point loss to Duke not exactly sure what to expect. FSU on the road should get the win but I think this will be a close one, should be fun to watch

Colorado vs. Oregon, Saturday @ 3:30 EST on ABC

I love seeing the love Coach Prime has been getting, they have been a pleasant surprise and a breath of fresh air in the college football world… However, the injury to all-around athlete Travis Hunter and playing on the road? Oregon is heavily favored for a reason, plenty of competition for the 3:30 slate but this is one I will keep an eye on.

Ole Miss vs. Alabama, Saturday @ 3:30 EST on CBS

Alabama is still trying to figure out the QB position, they are 7 point favorites at home and Coach Saban has a great record against head coaches formerly on his staff… Give me Ole Miss to pull off the upset here, their offense can put up points while Bama is still trying to get that figured out.

UCLA vs. Utah, Saturday @ 3:30 EST on FOX

This is a fascinating matchup; Utah has been missing their star QB and still have looked solid to this point. UCLA has not yet been tested so I am excited to see how they look on the road against a ranked opponent. Utah continues to find ways to win, and I think they will at home but I would also love for this to be QB Dante Moore’s coming out party on the main stage.

Oregon State vs. Washington State, Saturday @ 7:00 EST on FOX

A fun ranked matchup between the Beavers and the Cougars, I want to see if DJ Uiagalelei can keep it up and play well on the road. Give me Oregon State in this one, the O-Line continues to look solid. This could be a shootout and one that I will keep on the laptop or smaller TV (Yes, I am a sicko) because I will have almost all my focus on the 7:30 game.

Ohio State vs. Notre Dame, Saturday @ 7:30 EST on NBC

I was in South Bend last weekend to watch Notre Dame play Central Michigan, this was the first game of the season that the Irish did not cover (weird way to downplay a 41-17 victory) the Irish had early struggles against North Carolina State a few weeks back before pulling ahead. Ohio State also was trying to find their footing in the first few games but looked dominant with a 63-10 win over Western Kentucky. While attending the game I noticed that ND is fun to watch but if they want to win they will have to find ways to stop the run and get pressure on the Quarterback, the WRs at OSU are as advertised. Harrison Jr, Egbuka and one time Notre Dame target Carnell Tate could cause some problems while paying proper respect in the box for Treveyon Henderson in the backfield.

I will keep away from predictions on that one just because I am excited to really put to the test where these programs are at (plus any fan bias) I might put a few dollars on OSU to win because it is interesting to be compensated for your favorite team losing.
