Week 5 previews/predictions

After some exciting games we are keeping the ball rolling, here are a few of the matchups I am excited about for week 5!

Louisville vs. NC State, Friday @ 7:00 EST on ESPN

Louisville going on the road to take on the Wolfpack, the Cardinals looked great against Boston College. The ACC is tough to crack because a lot of the games have been competitive to this point, I am leaning Louisville in this one.

Utah vs. Oregon State, Friday @ 9:00 EST on FS1

Utah has been finding ways to win without Cam Rising, they beat a solid UCLA team last week and now have a test with another tough team with Oregon State coming off a loss. Both talented teams but I think Utah continues to roll and find ways to win.

USC vs. Colorado, Saturday @ 12:00 EST on FOX

This game… will probably not be close, USC looks pretty solid and Colorado has struggled a bit since the injury to Travis Hunter. Shedeur Sanders has been a fun player to watch this year but Caleb Williams and company will likely be too much for them to overcome.

Michigan vs. Nebraska, Saturday @ 3:30 EST on FOX

I got Michigan.

Kansas vs. Texas, Saturday @ 3:30 EST on ABC

Texas is heavily favored in this one, I believe they will win but Kansas has been a pleasant surprise and I love seeing them ranked… Just not sure for how long.

LSU vs. Ole Miss, Saturday @ 6:00 EST on ESPN

LSU against Ole Miss should be a fun one, instead of gassing up current players I went with Ed O to profile this game. Close game but I think LSU wins it, Geaux Tigers.

Notre Dame vs. Duke, Saturday @ 7:30 EST on ABC

I really like Marcus Freeman. We are in a world of NIL and transfer portal and to this point I like what he has done on the recruiting trail, as a fan it was PAINFUL to watch the game slip away against Ohio State. Got too cute with the play calling on that last offensive drive, also not being able to finish drives/convert, couldn’t get much pressure on the QB, dropped opportunities to force turnovers and not to mention the error of 10 men on the field for the goal line stand. Hoping to see the Irish bounce back against a tough Duke team. Can’t let QB Riley Leonard get comfortable, dude has been a baller this year.
