Slovenia saw an impressive contribution of 21 points from Mike Tobey.

Brazil 100, Iran 59

In this game, the focus shifted from Brazil’s simple victory to the unfortunate fate of Raul Neto, an experienced NBA player who spent last season with the Cavaliers and had plans to play in Turkey this season. Sadly, he suffered a devastating patellar tendon rupture in his right knee, ending his participation in the World Cup and potentially enduring a lengthy recovery. This injury left his Brazilian teammates visibly distressed.

From the very beginning of the match, it was evident that Brazil would dominate, gaining a 20-point advantage in the opening quarter. Bruno Caboclo, a former NBA athlete, played a pivotal role with 16 points, contributing to Brazil’s well-rounded and deep offensive strategy.

Puerto Rico 101, South Sudan 96 (OT)

In a thrilling match, South Sudan dominated the first half with a commanding double-digit lead. However, Puerto Rico made an incredible comeback in the second half, ultimately taking the lead late in the game. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost for South Sudan, Carlik Jones of the Bulls sank a crucial three-pointer, leading to overtime.
